What do you think makes you different than an animal? Pick any animal you want. Ape, dolphin, your dog, etc. I'm not trying to trick anyone into a certain way of thinking here. I just want your honest opinion.
Personally I think speech and language are what differentiates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Humans have the ability to make decisions based on morality and form cultural societies. Speech and language is a tricky one since some apes can learn human sign language, and all animals have their own methods of communication that vary in complexity. Humans also have the ability to learn other human languages. I've never looked into it before but what is the extent of cross-species communication or even inner species communication across different regions and habitats?
