Zombies again?
Yes, zombies again.
Billy got bitten a few weeks ago. He has turned completely zombie. He has the discolored skin, primal behavior, and an insatiable thirst for brains. Luckily, in this imaginary world we have devised some "zombie food." This zombie food has all the nutritious content of brains, but with half the fat and twice the tastiness! I know what you're thinking, "How can it have half the fat and be more delicious?" Well we have amazing synthetic brain technologies.
Billy no longer has a problem with brain lust, so he is able to keep living with his family. If you have seen Ugly Americans, Billy is sort of like Randall, but not so much able to form coherent thoughts. Billy just kind of sits there, and only does 4 things all day: moans, eats zombie food, makes zombie poop, and sleeps. His family still loves him, but no one can tell how Billy feels anymore.
Now imagine that instead of it being Billy that has turned, it is your closest friend or relative. How would you react? Would you still feel the same about the person as you did before? Would you still think of this person as a person? If not, what about being a zombie has taken away their personhood (aside from being undead)?

I think I would still have to take you out buddy. It would be like if you were in a car crash and became a vegetable. You are still getting food but not really there.
ReplyDeleteNo one should go down that way. Plus preventing to zombie apocalypse from spreading would be important too
I think if we can keep the zombies satisfied with zombie food we may not have to face an apocalyptic zombie future. As long as they aren't biting left and right. we could be ok :)
